Audit Shows GoalLine Solutions Living up to its Data Security Promises

A recent audit by independent firm Auditwerx put GoalLine Solutions’ data security strategy to the test, casting a light on how the company handles security-sensitive procedures such as transaction processing and data backup. The examination, known as the Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 Type 2, is a common method of testing the controls of service organizations.

Because a service organization’s security measures can have a bearing on a client organization’s financial reporting, a set of agreeable criteria had to be established to ensure consistency across borders – a must in an increasingly globalized economy. SSAE 16 doesn’t test the effectiveness of a service organizations controls per se, but rather whether management has put everything in place and taken all the necessary steps to meet its stated commitments.

According to the SOC 1 Type 2 report generated by Auditwerx following the examination, GoalLine has taken all the proper steps to accomplish what it set out to do in terms of its application development environment and information technology.

The SSAE 16 stamp of approval also lets client companies rest assured that their information is being handled responsibly, with all described privacy, security and confidentiality measures capable of meeting any challenges.

GoalLine Solutions works with companies across a wide spectrum of industries, providing solutions for customer experience and employee performance management. The audit, which evaluated the last six months, affirms GoalLine’s ability to fulfill its commitments regarding transaction processing.
